The Commercial HVAC Service Technician will maintain and develop existing customer relationships through quality service and support. Hobbs & Associates is a member of the AIR Control Concepts family. Hobbs & Associates specializes in providing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) products and engineering services to commercial and industrial building contractors, architectural design firms, and business owners. Our collaborative approach helps bring lasting community infrastructure to life, including schools, universities, hospitals, military and municipal buildings, entertainment venues, hotels, and multi-family residences.
- Solving issues using reasoning, logic, and voltmeter
- Communication with individuals who installed the system
- Communication with manufacturers
- Assist the owner’s representatives to demonstrate that the system has been set up properly
- Documentation of actions taken on the job site to be included with project report
- Direct discussions with building owners to assist with ongoing maintenance and service
- Perform work on preventive maintenance agreements as assigned
- Associate’s degree in HVAC related field or 3 years’ equivalent experience
- Commitment to customer service (internal and external)
- Perform quality work, highly detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines without direct supervision
- Interact professionally with employees, customers, and manufacturers
- Ability to operate under pressure, deadlines, and the demands of an active job site
- Proven technical aptitude and familiarity with the use of a voltmeter
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
