Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for interacting with customers and team members, supporting selling initiatives, and performing assigned tasks while providing legendary customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
As a Team Member, you should be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented, capable of fulfilling the following requirements:

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Support selling initiatives (TEAM):
  • Thank the Customer
  • Engage with the customer and/or pet
  • Advise on products or services
  • Make it Memorable
• Perform duties such as operating cash registers, merchandise recovery, freight processing, merchandising, assembling merchandise, janitorial duties, executing price changes, assisting with loading, caring for live animals, and completing related documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

No experience required; retail or pet/live animal knowledge preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
Knowledge of pets/live animals, pet food, or pet products is preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, basic computer skills, and interpersonal skills are desirable.

Working Conditions
Indoor environment with moderate noise; shifts vary but typically no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours; promote safety and adhere to guidelines.

Physical Requirements
Non-sedentary role requiring mobility throughout the store and outdoor areas; ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate equipment safely, and communicate effectively.
