Position: Head Host - The Arding Rooms Clubspace · Arding & Hobbs

The Arding Rooms is x+why's newest private members club in Clapham Junction - a relaxed, stylish space for connection, creativity, and fun!

We are looking for an exceptional Lead Host to be the face of the Club and ensure every member feels warmly welcomed (and extra special!).

About the Role

As Head Host, you’ll play a vital role in shaping first impressions and creating a seamless experience from the moment our members walk through the door. You’ll manage reservations, juggle seating plans, welcome guests, supervise our small host team and help ensure the site runs smoothly.

As the link between our members and the wider teams, your people and organisational skills should be through the roof amazing!!

Shifts will mostly be Mon - Fri (9am - 5pm), but with some flexibility to support on evenings and weekends when required.
This is a 35/40 hour week,
variable contract with an hourly rate of £15 + service
.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Welcome members and their guests with natural warmth and attention
  • Manage the reservation system (Seven Rooms) and supervise the host team
  • Take time to build a genuine relationship with each member
  • Communicate closely with the floor and kitchen teams
  • Handle special requests and accommodate member preferences
  • Support events, private dining, and daily service as needed
  • Ensure the entrance and host desk are maintained to the highest standard
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in a host or front-of-house role within a premium hospitality setting
  • A naturally friendly, outgoing and confident communicator
  • Impeccable personal presentation
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • A calm, helpful approach and genuine care for the member experience
  • Comfortable using booking systems, emails and related tech
