Telemetry Technician - Med Surg Acute

Overview

Responsible for the observation of cardiac / hemodynamic monitors and patient activity on video monitors if applicable. Reports any unusual activity to nurse or charge nurse. Documents according to unit policy.

• Report any unusual activity to the nurse or charge nurse.
• Document according to unit policy.

• Coursework/Training:
  Successful completion of cardiac dysrhythmia course or monitor technician course or equivalent education/experience
• Upon hire:
  National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

• 1 year of Acute care monitor technician experience.
