Position Summary:
Inventory Investigators; under general supervision, investigate and distribute material shortages for the Inventory Department of Daifuku's Conveyors Shop.
- Perform material expediting and transaction verification for urgent/priority work order requirements.
- Investigate databases, locate materials, and distribute to departments as required.
- Run critical material reports, coordinate movement, and obtain status and location of critical material.
- Follow up on past‑due material and prepare daily reports to the supervisor of material delays and effect work orders.
- Perform clerical duties and maintain accurate records and files of activities.
- Receive, unpack, and deliver goods; restock items as necessary and label shelves.
- May lead, guide, and train staff, student employees, and interns performing related work.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on Inventory Department needs.
- Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
- Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading‑industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Education and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and programs.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and thorough.
- Ability to multi‑task and provide team support.
- Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
- Clerical, word‑processing, and/or office skills.
- Good interpersonal skills for working with various departments.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Stooping – bend the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist; important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
- Kneeling – bend legs at the knees to come to a rest on one or more knees.
- Crouching – bend the body downward and forward by bending the legs and spine.
- Standing – remain upright on the feet, particularly during sustained periods.
- Walking – move about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Lifting – raise objects from a lower to a higher position or move objects horizontally from one position to another; important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
- Grasping – apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
