Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 Hourly
Summary:
The Parts Specialist will assist the Assistant Parts Manager by providing support for our customers and our shops. This position will process parts request, manage inventory, and charge out parts properly. The Parts Specialist will develop and analyze material to the service parts locations and communicate with shop personnel to establish quality standards for materials, parts, and supplies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Order parts for customers, inventory, and technicians
- Shipping & receiving tasks
- Generate invoices, POs, and customer ROs.
- General housekeeping of parts department
- Processing BOLs
- Charge out parts for customers
- Perform daily cycle counts
- Process inventory returns in a timely manner
- Fulfilling orders for mechanics
- Review repair orders for accurate part assignment
- Generate TMT invoices for customer sales
- Perform quarterly inventory count
- Responsible for operating and maintaining office equipment; arranges for repairs when necessary and makes recommendations for new or additional office equipment
- Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining records management database systems
- File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports
- Perform data maintenance including stocking level calculations, independent demand forecasting, lead time evaluations and item source detail to ensure TMT application integrity
- Create opportunities for additional inventory reduction year on year and optimal inventory turns
- Attend and prepare manufacturer information for supplier meetings as needed
Global Responsibilities:
- Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
- This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs
Qualifications:
Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional
Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license required
- TMT Software knowledge preferred
Experience:
- 1-2 years of industry and parts knowledge required
- Forklift experience preferred
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent aptitude for customer service
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Effective problem solver
- Negotiation and complaint resolution skills
Working Conditions:
- Operate within a professional office environment and within a shop environment
- Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
- Able to remain calm in high pressure situations
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
