About Us: Daifuku designs, manufactures, integrates and installs the full spectrum of intra‑logistics solutions, including conveyor and sortation systems, robotics, mezzanines, and structures.

The Fabricator operates fabrication machines to create structural steel products used in industrial automation.

• Operate fabrication shop and machine shop machinery (cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, punches) to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures.
• Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths using scale, rule, or template.
• Position workpiece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
• Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Detect workpiece defects and machine malfunctions.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale from workpiece.
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
• Comply with all Daifuku QMS policies and procedures and drive continuous improvement.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Skills: Ability to read blueprints; knowledge of standard and metric measurements; quality assurance and self‑inspection techniques; self‑motivated and detail‑oriented; team orientation.
• Certifications: LOTO certification required;
  Crane operation certification required;
  Forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
• Availability: Work Saturdays as needed.
• Language: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Medium work:
  Exert up to 50 lb occasionally and up to 20 lb frequently.
• Reaching:
  Extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
• Standing:
  Remain upright on feet for sustained periods.
• Walking:
  Move about on foot to accomplish tasks, including long distances.
• Pushing:
  Use upper extremities to press against something with steady force.
• Pulling:
  Use upper extremities to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.
• Lifting:
  Raise objects from a lower to a higher position or move objects horizontally.
• Grasping:
  Apply pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
• Hearing:
  Perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels.
• Visual:
  Perform activities requiring close visual acuity (e.g., preparing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection of small defects, operating machines).

• Work inside environmental conditions:
  Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• Hazards: proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, work on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or chemicals.
