Position

Summary

The Paint Prepper loads and/or unloads parts from a continuous line while maintaining an organized and safe work area, and assists the team lead as required to maintain a high level of team productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Selecting proper hanging devices
  • Identifying parts related to work orders
  • Loading/unloading parts on powder coat line
  • Comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures
  • Ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and numerical instructions
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Team orientation
  • Crane operation experience preferred but not required
  • Forklift operation experience preferred but not required
  • Big Joe operation experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
ADA Requirements
  • Medium work:
    Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Climbing:
    Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet, legs and/or hands and arms
  • Reaching:
    Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
  • Standing:
    Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time
  • Walking:
    Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
  • Pushing:
    Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward or outward
  • Pulling:
    Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion
  • Lifting:
    Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position
  • Grasping:
    Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
  • Repetitive motions:
    Making substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and or fingers
  • Visual:
    Close visual acuity required for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, using measurement devices, and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes
Job Conditions
  • Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions with protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes
  • Worker is subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or chemicals
  • Worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways

Salary: USD $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
