Position
2nd Shift Structural Welder at Daifuku

Welders join metal parts using high heat application to form permanent bonds.
Responsibilities- Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials
- Planning work by interpreting blueprints
- Determining welding position and type of metal to be fused
- Selecting and setting up welding equipment
- Ensuring welds meet standards and specifications
- Complying with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures
- Ensuring sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
Certificate or Associate degree in welding - Minimum 3-5 years experience in welding
- AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
- Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented
- Team orientation
- Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
- Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Medium work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Standing: remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Walking: moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Pushing: using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
- Grasping: applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- Visual: close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
