ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary: Inventory Investigators; under general supervision, investigate and distribute material shortages for Inventory Department of Daifuku's Conveyors Shop.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing material expediting and transaction verification for urgent/priority work order requirements
- Investigating databases, locating materials, and distributing to departments as required
- Running critical material reports, coordinates movement and obtains status and location of critical material
- Following-up on past due material and prepares daily reports to supervisor of material delays effecting work orders
- Performing clerical duties, and maintaining accurate records and files of activities
- Receiving, unpacking, and delivering goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves
- May lead, guide, and train staff, student employees, and interns performing related work
- Performing other duties as assigned based on Inventory Department needs
- Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
- Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Education and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and programs
- Detail-oriented, organized and thorough
- Ability to multi-task and provide team support
- Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
- Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills
- Good interpersonal skills for working with various departments
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
ADA Requirements:
- Medium work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - Stooping:
Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles. - Kneeling:
Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. - Crouching:
Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. - Standing:
Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. - Walking:
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. - Lifting:
Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. - Grasping:
Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. - Visual:
The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles. - Visual:
The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
