The occupational Therapist will report directly to the Program Manager who is responsible for overseeing direct clinical skills, documentation skills, and compliance to meet all professional standards.

Responsibilities
  • The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of residents who demonstrate disorders or neurological deficits, weakness, and all other required forms as designated by the facility and Regional Manager.
  • The Occupational Therapist (OTR) is responsible for attending all required facility meetings and in-services, including Medicare meetings, patient staffing, family meetings, and care plans.
  • In cooperation with the Program Manager and the Regional Manager, develop programs appropriate to the needs of the residents in the facility to assist them in achieving their highest feasible level of functioning.
  • Assist the facility in meeting the standards necessary to obtain state, federal, and other appropriate certification.
  • Employ and follow all appropriate facility infection control policies and procedures and respect and follow OBRA Resident Rights Guidelines.
  • Responsible for the appropriate scheduling of residents on caseload in addition to all required in-services and meetings.
  • Present professionally in conduct, communication, and dress while in the facility.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager and facility.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Licensed or eligible to practice Occupational Therapy as required by state regulations.
  • Experience with evaluation and treatment of residents with neurological deficits and related conditions.
  • Ability to collaborate with program and regional management to develop resident-focused interventions.
  • Knowledge of infection control policies and OBRA guidelines is preferred.
