PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:
The Process & SAP Data Analyst is responsible for governance, integrity, and lifecycle management of manufacturing master data within SAP. This role ensures routings, BOMs, material masters, and production versions accurately reflect real production processes and support lean performance systems.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee must perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities the supervisor requests. Job duties may change as required by the needs of the company.
Core ResponsibilitiesDaily Material Master Creation – In-House Produced Articles
- Create and validate new internally produced material masters.
- Configure MRP views including MRP type, lot sizing, procurement type (E vs F only), strategy group, and planning parameters.
- Maintain lead times and capacity-relevant data in planning tabs.
- Create and validate production versions (BOM + Routing linkage, validity dates, sequencing).
- Ensure materials are not released until BOM, routing, and production version are validated.
- Validate data accuracy before any material is released for production.
- Act as final approver for master data readiness prior to go-live.
- Audit and correct production routings.
- Align SAP cycle times with actual production standards.
- Maintain routing audit cadence and ownership structure.
- Identify systemic data issues and drive corrective actions rather than just fixing records.
- Own continuous improvement of routing accuracy across the plant.
- Validate multi-level BOM accuracy.
- Correct component quantities and scrap factors.
- Partner with Engineering and Production on ECO (Engineering Change Order) execution.
- Prevent downstream planning and costing errors caused by BOM inaccuracies.
- Support OEE, Hour-by-Hour, and production loss tracking with reliable SAP data.
- Provide data for loss-based improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Continuous Improvement on data-driven loss reduction projects.
- Act as a bridge between SAP data and real manufacturing performance.
- Own mass corrections and data clean-ups driven by production audits.
- Resolve systemic misalignments between SAP and shop floor reality.
- Lead remediation projects for data issues.
- Standardize how new articles are introduced into SAP.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years hands-on SAP PP/MM experience.
- Experience creating material masters, routings, BOMs, and production versions.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Manufacturing operations experience required.
- Experience with Warehouse Management (WM/EWM)
- Lean manufacturing exposure
- Experience leading data clean-up or system alignment projects.
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
