Youth Advocate - BEAL St. Residential Program

Start 2026 with purpose. Our Youth Advocates play a vital role in guiding youth toward stability, confidence, and success—while gaining meaningful experience in human services. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work with youth, a commitment to youth empowerment and advocacy, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Driving is required
• Spending time with and supervising 12 youth in a mid-size home like environment
• Providing support and encouragement to youth
• Ensuring the overall safety of youth in the program
• Assist youth with their service goals including homework help, coping skills and behavior management
• Acting as a positive role model to support youths’ wellbeing

Full Time, 40 hours per week. Must be available to work some day and evenings shift.

High School Diploma or GED required

• 1 year experience working with adolescents is preferred (not required)
• Residential experience preferred
  
  Experience with systems (e.g. DMH, DCF) preferred
• Additional languages desirable, though not required
• Able to learn, carry out and be certified in CPI physical interventions, and de-escalation techniques
• Able to learn, carry out and be certified in CPR and first aid
