General Trades Tech 1 - Carpenter, Ft. Stewart/LDC

This position is located at Georgia Garrison Training Center / Land Dominance Center, Ft. Stewart.

Performs a variety of semi‑skilled and skilled trades work at the Georgia Garrison Training Center / Land Dominance Center. This includes the repair, maintenance or construction of state/federal buildings and related structures. Installs and maintains security, climate control, and other facilities systems.

• Preference will be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, also possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• One year experience in maintenance and/or carpentry type construction.

The selected applicant must meet the following standards:

• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Selected applicant must pass a pre‑employment background investigation, which includes a Georgia criminal records search, a pre‑employment drug test (will be placed in the pool for the State Random Drug Testing Program), AND a post‑employment federal background investigation, which includes a national criminal records search.
