Job Description
The Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto Insurance is an Allstate Business) is responsible for the profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales and understanding customers' needs to build rapport and trust. This role drives sales and builds and retains a book of business within the market/retail location. It involves attracting and generating new customers and cross-selling existing customers in support of our offerings including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance.
This role sells to walk-in customers and markets products outside the office via marketing calls and in-person visits to create community relationships that promote growth.

- Build and retain a book of business within the market/retail location.
- Cross-sell existing customers across product lines (Auto, Life, Auto Club, Roadside Assistance).
- Develop community relationships to promote continued growth and assist customers in the office.
- Participate in a multi-tiered and comprehensive paid training program.
- Meet or exceed sales goals through new product sales, cross-sell, and retention of customers.
- Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline and establish centers of influence/referral sources.
- Initiate outbound calls to established target customer bases for product offerings.
- Monitor local market competition and propose initiatives to improve the company's position.
- Collaborate with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes.
- Ensure delivery of optimal results across quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, and customer satisfaction, with compliance to rules and standards.
- Understand and stay current on underwriting guidelines, announcements, and policy changes.
- Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify cash draw reports.
- Minimum: 0–2 years of experience.
- P&C licensing (preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.
- Preferred skills include successfully closing insurance and ancillary product sales, meeting/exceeding sales goals, and effective cross-selling/retention.
Base compensation: $20.00 per hour
Total compensation: In addition to base hourly rate, total compensation may include incentive pay (commissions and bonuses) based on individual and team performance.
