Nurse (Clinical/Ambulatory)
Location:
Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, Hinesville, GA.
Salary Range: $80,910 to $102,763 per year.

OverviewWinn Army Community Hospital is a 112-bed community hospital which will feature a new Women’s Health and Mammography Center. Our healthcare team provides primary and specialty care for a patient population of over 70,000. As a civilian family practice physician you will play an integral role in providing exceptional healthcare to the Soldiers and Families in our great Army and the 3rd Infantry Division.
Key supporting specialties at Winn include OB/Gyn, general and orthopedic surgery, EENT, Psychiatry, Dermatology, and Urology. Enjoy the benefits of a full inpatient and outpatient EMR with digital radiography.

- Perform independent, comprehensive telephone and clinical triaging, and facilitate care coordination through a multidisciplinary approach.
- Assist health care providers with examinations and procedures.
- Assist clinic with patient and staff education including clinic orientation.
- Ensure staff compliance with maintenance of competency folders in accordance with hospital and Joint Commission standards.
- Prepare and administer oral, subcutaneous, intra‑muscular and intravenous medications.

Basic Requirements for Nurse (Clinical/Ambulatory):
- Degree:
Graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program. Must be accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory; must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. - Foreign Degree:
Graduates of foreign nursing schools must have completed the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools Certification Program, including credentials evaluation, CGFNS Qualifying Exam, and evidence of passing one approved English Language Proficiency exam. Copy of CGFNS Certificate required. - Exemption:
Federal employees in the 0610 occupational series continuously employed since Sept 27, 2017 or earlier are exempt from the basic requirements; must provide appropriate documentation.
Additional Qualification Requirements:
- Education/
Experience:
Diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in Nursing from a professional program and at least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to GS‑9 grade level or above), including providing nursing care to ambulatory patients, administering or preparing medications, and providing education to patients or nursing staff. - OR
