PAY RATE: $21.12 plus H&W $5.09 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate gasoline or diesel powered tractors to move materials, draw implements, tow trailers, pull objects embedded in ground, or use winch cable.
  • Fasten attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers (over 2000 lbs.), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractors, adjust equipment, lubricate, and perform minor repairs such as tightening bolts or replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws.
  • Push and grade or load and relocate earth, rip rap, gravel, or other materials; clear brush, stubble, tree stumps, and debris.

  • Perform equipment maintenance and safety inspections prior to daily use.
  • Operate other implements such as mowers, weed eaters, and chainsaws to maintain range facilities.
  • Maintain equipment at the operator level: conduct pre‑, during‑, and post‑operations checks, apply lubrication per manufacturer manuals, and ensure equipment is scheduled for higher‑level maintenance.
  • Report equipment breakdowns, schedule maintenance, and request additional equipment as needed.
  • Use proper lifting/loading techniques to load, bind, and deliver heavy equipment to project sites on public roads.
  • Follow installation safety regulations.
