Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is looking for a Supply Clerk to work in Fort Stewart, Georgia. Supply Clerk receives, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, segregates, stores, issues, delivers, and turns in Organizational/Direct Support and Installation supplies and equipment.
Responsibilities- Operates Unit or Direct Support Logistics Information Systems.
- Prepares all Unit/DS supply documents.
- Maintains automated Supply System for accounting of Organizational/Direct Support and Installation supplies and equipment.
- Coordinates supply activities, posts transactions to organizational/direct support and installation property books and supporting transaction files.
- Determines method of obtaining relief from responsibility for lost, damaged and destroyed supply items.
- Maintains tools and equipment and cleans work areas to maintain a safe work environment.
- May operate forklifts and use powered hand tools.
- Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling very heavy parts and loads, up to 70 pounds.
- High School or GED.
- GCSS-A Certification.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions when necessary.
- Must obtain a Common Access Card within 30 days after start of employment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen able to pass a background check and drug testing.
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, reach and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years of military experience in supply operations as a 92A.
