Job Description
Insight Global is actively seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join one of our largest customers wart, GA. This is an onsite, full-time position working 40 hours per week. Responsibilities will include reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and constructability. Field construction inspection and reporting will comprise the majority of the work. Interaction with clients and contractors requires candidate to have a professional presentation along with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Records all data in RMS. Experience on both overhead and underground electrical power utility distribution systems, single and 3-phase.
Perform field inspection and quality assurance.
Perform daily site walks to inspect electrical installations (power, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, telecom, security, generators, medium voltage, etc.
Document deficiencies and track corrective actions.
Confirm proper installation methods, conduit routing, cable sizing, panel labeling, bonding, and equipment placement.
Update daily reports, inspections, and QA observations in RMS
Verify contractor compliance with USACE EM 385-1-1 safety requirements.
Participate in weekly progress meetings.
Interface with 3rd party commissioning agent to facilitate commissioning process and validate results.
Utilize the Resident Management System to write daily reports, track/respond to RFIs and provide solutions.
Attend preparatory meetings, provide submittal reviews, RFI reviews, claim & estimate reviews, and attend briefings

Minimum of 10 years’ experience performing Electrical Inspection services on large complex multimillion dollar DoD construction projects.
Experience preforming 3-phase inspections for electrical/telecommunications distribution infrastructure and fire alarm/MNS. – Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction, or related field
Certified Level II electrical QC inspector.
EM 385-1-1 training
OSHA 30-hour
Knowledge of the RMS
Strong working knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) for electrical and communications systems
National Electrical Code familiarity
Commissioning or Low Voltage Certification
