Dental Office Receptionist/Coordinator

Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Office Receptionist/Coordinator to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental office front desk operations, with the ability to manage administrative tasks and provide excellent customer service. Proficiency in Dentrix software is essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a small, dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome patients both in-person and on the phone.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal daily workflow.
  • Maintain and update accurate patient records using Dentrix.
  • Process patient payments, verify insurance, and enter insurance payments.
  • Assist with treatment plan coordination and provide patients with related information.
  • Manage daily chart preparation and keep the front desk organized.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding financial options and insurance details.
  • Support the team with referral coordination and other administrative duties.
Skills &

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a dental office front desk role.
  • Proficiency with Dentrix software.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-organized, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and with a team.
  • Knowledge of insurance procedures and ability to handle patient financial arrangements.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform various movements such as sitting, standing, bending, and reaching throughout the day.
  • Comfortable in a busy, high-energy environment.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
