We are currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated HGV Workshop Technician / Mechanic to join our team of highly skilled technicians.

As the successful HGV Technician / Mechanic you will report to the Vehicle Maintenance Unit Manager and be a key member of the team in a time‑critical distribution environment.

• Servicing and maintaining DPD’s fleet of approximately 1500 Mercedes‑Benz tractor units and 2700 trailers.
• Fault diagnostics on vehicles.
• MOT preparation for the vehicles.
• Weekly/monthly checks of HGV vehicles.
• Mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles.
• Support the use of Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO) in over 60% of the fleet.

• Experience working in a similar Heavy Goods or Heavy Plant role, or knowledge of yellow goods repairs.
• Level 3 trained in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or a time‑served technician.
• Knowledge of working on Mercedes, DAF, Dennis, Volvo and Renault vehicles.

• Optional: LGV Class 1 driving licence.
