Starting £28,900 and rising to £30,400 when role triggers are met.

Career Development

You’ll have a structured development plan with regular pay increases as you complete training and build new skills. Your progression is performance‑driven, and within 2–3 years you could advance to the next grade, starting at £35,200 and rising to £39,000.

    Mon–Thurs 05:30–14:30, Fri 05:30–09:00

    Mon–Thurs 06:00–15:00, Fri 06:00–09:30

Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive Manufacturing Engineering Support Technician ready to join our world‑class manufacturing facility. You will be part of a focused team of Engineers and Technicians within the Manufacturing Engineering department, whose work leads the implementation of the latest manufacturing technologies and introduction of new machines.

What

You Will Do

As a Manufacturing Engineering Support Technician, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Driving manufacturing best practices into the production environment.
  • Completing root‑cause analysis for quality and inefficiency improvements to implement robust process containment measures.
  • Facilitating the development of manufacturing process solutions with functional teams, using tools such as process flows, PFMEA’s, and control plans. Promoting lean and quality as a focus within the business.
  • Utilising CAD software; designing jigs, fixtures, updating floor plans, and completing virtual builds.
  • Adhering to the company’s Health and Safety policy and safe working practices.
  • Adhering to Caterpillar’s Values in Action:

What You May Have
  • Good understanding of building and construction equipment assembly, test, or finish processes and production.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety awareness and controls.
  • Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter would be advantageous.
  • Experience resolving quality concerns with tools such as 8D, 5‑Why, fishbone diagrams, and other appropriate quality tools.
