Location: Nasmyth Henton LTD, Harrowbrook House, 31A Faraday Rd, Hinckley LE10 3DE

Job type: Permanent

Salary: £16.77 per hour + shift pay £564.60 per month

Hours per week:

Start & finish times:
Rotating AM/PM Shift - Monday – Thursday: 06.00 – 13.45 / 13.45 – 01.30

Lunch: 30 min unpaid break

Summary of role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to operate 5‑axis CNC milling machines to produce precision components, including setting tools and making necessary program edits. The role includes performing routine TPM maintenance, raising Product Investigation Reports (PIRs) when issues arise to support quality improvement, adhering to 5S standards and safely handling components, jigs and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate 5‑axis CNC milling machines
  • Set tools and edit programs
  • Perform routine TPM maintenance
  • Raise Product Investigation Reports (PIRs) when required
  • Maintain 5S standards in the area
  • Safely handle components, jigs and fixtures
Role Requirements
  • 5 years’ experience in the aerospace/automotive industry in a similar role
  • Apprentice trained – preferred or demonstrated relevant experience
  • Experience of Fanuc, Mazatrol or Heidenhain operating systems

    Ability to read drawings/specifications
  • Ability to use inspection equipment and inspect your own work
  • Experience working to production timelines in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with SOPs and company‑specific documentation
  • Self‑driven, results‑oriented, with a positive outlook
  • Team‑player attitude and ability to work with others
  • Attention to detail and accuracy at all times
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively
