Maintenance Manager

PE Global is recruiting a Maintenance Manager for our industrial manufacturing client based in Desford. The role is an initial 12 month contract and the rate for this role is £28.68 PAYE or £39.27 Umbrella p/hour.

• Lead daily pulse meetings:
  Safety, Quality, Velocity, Cost metrics
• Monitor and report maintenance KPIs: planned work completion, overdue work, resource allocation
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
• Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, 5S, Six Sigma principles
• Lead, manage, and develop ~30 staff, including 4 team leaders
• Build skills matrix and training plans
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and corporate standards (CQMS/ISO)
• Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams

• Proven leadership and team management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, execution, and equipment reliability strategies.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS);
  Workday experience advantageous.
• Level 3 engineering qualification (e.g., City & Guilds) or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to analyse KPIs, solve problems, and implement action plans to improve performance.
