We re partnering with a long-standing client to appoint a hands-on Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of two Hinckley sites. Expect a luxury product, a small high-calibre team, and an operation where the customer experience truly matters. You ll be on the warehouse floor driving day-to-day performance while also operating at senior management level to support growth and continuous improvement across the business.
You ll take accountability for:
- Day-to-day operational leadership across two sites (site 1: ambient food warehouse with B2C pick & pack and site 2: small food-grade packing facility)
- Managing, developing and performance-coaching a team of five
- Import/export workflows and compliance within a bonded warehouse environment
- Stock control, including regular audits, slow/low stock reporting, overstock management and short-life analysis
- Driving process discipline, reliability and continuous improvement
- General facility management, maintenance coordination and keeping equipment in good working order
- WMS accuracy, reporting and data integrity
- Acting as part of their senior leadership cohort and supporting the evolution of the business
What you'll need:
We re looking for someone who stays calm under pressure, solves problems without fuss, and knows how to balance tactical execution with operational leadership. Ideally you ll bring:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager
- A pragmatic, solutions-first mindset
- Confidence leading, coaching and developing people
- Import/export knowledge (bonded warehouse experience an advantage)
- Process focus with strong attention to accuracy and quality
- Comfort managing facilities queries and coordinating repairs
- Strong IT capability, WMS familiarity and reporting literacy
- Customer focus with an understanding of how warehouse performance impacts service delivery
- Full, clean driving licence + access to own vehicle (regular travel between sites)
- Valid FLT licence with hands-on experience
What's on offer: Salary is circa £45,000 per annum plus bonus potential, competitive holiday, great team environment and product discounts. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30 - no shift patterns or weekends required.
