Teaching Assistant one to one

Position: Full-Time Specialist Teaching Assistant Location: Burbage, Leicestershire Contract: Immediate Start - July 2026 Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you a compassionate, experienced, and reliable Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are seeking a dedicated professional to work one-to-one with a Year 4 pupil, providing consistent, nurturing support within a mainstream primary school setting. This is a full-time role, running until the end of the academic year in July 2026.

• Provide tailored one-to-one support to a Year 4 child with SEMH needs
• Foster a safe, trusting, and structured environment to promote emotional wellbeing and academic progress
• Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
• Implement strategies to support emotional regulation, engagement, and resilience
• Maintain clear and consistent boundaries and routines

• Proven experience in one-to-one support, ideally with SEMH or similar needs
• Strong understanding of behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a calm, consistent approach
• Reliability and commitment to the full duration of the contract

• Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or SEN
• Experience working within a primary school setting
