The Cypress of Hilton Head's Preston Health Center Skilled Nursing Department is actively seeking hospitality-focused Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our team.

The Cypress of Hilton Head Island, located in the beautiful Low country of South Carolina, is an award-winning continuing care retirement community. Life at The Cypress comes to life on Hilton Head Island and within the secure-gated waterfront community of Hilton Head Plantation. The Preston Health Center is a five-star, 62-bed health center providing services including rehab, short-term and long-term stays, and memory support.

We are seeking dynamic Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Preston Health Center team. Please note that proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption is required for employment.

• Day and Night
  
  Shifts:
  
  7:00 AM - 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
• 12-hour shifts with shift differential pay.

• You have an active South Carolina Practical or Registered Nurse license or compact license.
• You have a relevant degree from an accredited college/program.
• You possess education, training, and/or experience in rehabilitative nursing, geriatric nursing, and/or psychosocial nursing.
• You are knowledgeable about all DHEC, CMS, and other agency requirements.
• You pass successful completion of a criminal background and drug screen.
• You have the ability to communicate, understand, empathize, and work with residents, families, visitors, peers, and subordinates.

• Receive and transcribe physician orders.
• Check, administer, and record medications and treatments appropriately.
• Keep narcotic records and medication records up to date.
• Admit and orient new residents.
• Supervise and assign duties to nursing assistants.
• Monitor resident safety issues at all times.
• Document in the medical records as per policy and regulation.
• Respond to emergency pull cord calls in apartments and prepare reports.
• Complete direct resident care.
• Administer intravenous medications per facility policy.
• Assess the resident's condition and needs.
• Notify the doctor and family of the condition changes.
• Take appropriate precautions to avoid job-related injuries and comply with injury reporting guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
