This position plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care and supporting our providers in a dynamic oncology environment.

• Providing Compassionate Support:
  Your empathy and calm demeanor can help alleviate anxiety and create a sense of comfort and continuity throughout the patient’s treatment journey.
• Enhancing Clinical Efficiency:
  By managing patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures, you set the team up for success and ensure patients receive remarkable care.
• Ensuring Coordinated Care:
  You are a vital link in the communication chain between the patient and the healthcare team. By accurately documenting information and coordinating appointments, you help ensure that every step of a patient’s complex treatment plan is organized and seamless.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED required. Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire, and an education agreement signed. Acceptable certifications/registries: CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), ARMA, NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, AA H, NAHP, or equivalent. Refer to the job description for full eligibility details.
• Experience:
  
  Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Driver’s License (Palliative Care Only), required.
• Additional Skills (required):
  Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
