What We Offer We're seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our remarkable team at the Novant Health's Medical Group!
- Status:
Full Time - Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm - Opportunities available in Bluffton, Beaufort, Okatie, Hilton Head Island, Hardeeville
- Specialties:
Primary Care, Orthopedics, Women's Health, Cardiology, Infectious Disease, Urology, General Surgery, Gastro and many more
This position plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care and supporting our providers in a dynamic oncology environment.
Key Responsibilities- Providing Compassionate Support:
Your empathy and calm demeanor can help alleviate anxiety and create a sense of comfort and continuity throughout the patient’s treatment journey. - Enhancing Clinical Efficiency:
By managing patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures, you set the team up for success and ensure patients receive remarkable care. - Ensuring Coordinated Care:
You are a vital link in the communication chain between the patient and the healthcare team. By accurately documenting information and coordinating appointments, you help ensure that every step of a patient’s complex treatment plan is organized and seamless.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire, and an education agreement signed. Acceptable certifications/registries: CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), ARMA, NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, AA H, NAHP, or equivalent. Refer to the job description for full eligibility details. - Experience:
Previous work in a medical office, preferred. - Licensure/Certification:
Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Driver’s License (Palliative Care Only), required. - Additional Skills (required):
Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
