The minimum starting pay for our Equipment Services Technician in Hilo is $48,000 to $57,100 per year.

HPM Building Supply in Hilo, Hawaii is seeking to hire a full-time Equipment Services Technician to be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a variety of gas‑powered, electric and battery‑powered equipment including chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, mowers, generators, pressure washers and other tools. This position requires strong mechanical expertise, attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, a commitment to safety and ability to deliver optimal customer service in a fast‑paced outdoor setting.

The technician will also manage equipment tracking, maintain an accurate parts inventory, and ensure required tools are available and in good working condition.

• Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
• No weekends

• Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills and will to learn
• Valid driver’s license required
• Three years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of small engines and motors
• Certification in small engine repair or related technical training preferred
• Apprenticeship in small engine repair preferred
• Experience in inventory control and parts management a plus
