• Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service; may assist customers at the gas pump.
• Accurately ring up all sales on POS system; comply with cash handling procedures and other payment types for products sold.
• Handle cash and other forms of tender (e.g., coupons, credit card transactions).
• Comply with company policies and store procedures, including safety and environmental policies.
• Receive, stock & organize merchandise.
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and conduct shift audits.
• Participate in safety programs and trainings; attend mandatory job-related meetings/trainings as needed.
• Perform cleaning duties to maintain site cleanliness inside and out; basic upkeep of equipment.
• Identify equipment problems and report as needed.
• Work with minimal supervision; may require flexible hours, meetings, and other duties as assigned.

Note:

• Stand or walk for an entire shift.
• Visual ability to read numbers on inventory, purchases, gas pumps, and pump operation.
• Effective communication in English.
• Follow safety procedures and respond to safety alarms; contact 911 for emergencies.
• Frequent reaching, gripping, and dexterity to restock inventory, operate POS, receive payments, and maintain store grounds.
• Frequent squatting and kneeling to obtain/replenish items.
• Push/pull up to 20 pounds with assistance (hand-truck).
• Lift up to 20 pounds frequently; may lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Climb a stepladder to stock or retrieve materials or place/remove signs.

Note:

There may be exposure to gas fumes and solvents, and occasional noise.

Basic qualifications: 21 years of age or older and legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without visa transfer or sponsorship.

Additional qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales and handling cash preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately.
• Ability to communicate in English (oral and written), including proficient telephone skills.
• Ability to work various shifts as scheduled and arrive on time.
• Ability to work with equipment, tools, and materials as required.
• Ability to perform essential duties under described conditions.
