Overview
Step into a life-changing Travel Nursing opportunity as a Registered Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care in the vibrant community of Hilo, Hawaii. This role is designed for compassionate, patient-centered professionals who believe in dignity, comfort, and quality of life for older adults. Envision hands-on care that fosters independence, meaningful connections, and improved well-being each day. In this setting, your expertise becomes a cornerstone of residents’ daily experiences, their families’ peace of mind, and the overall warmth of a close-knit care team.
Beyond the bedside, you’ll gain exposure to Hawaii’s unique blend of cultures, pristine natural beauty, and a pace of life that invites reflection, resilience, and renewal. The opportunity begins February 9, 2026, with a flexible duration that allows you to shape your travel schedule while delivering the trusted care that LTC residents rely on. Working in Hilo offers a compelling blend of professional growth and lifestyle benefits. You’ll practice in a community that values empathy, collaboration, and sustained resident engagement. The locale presents the chance to develop specialized competencies in geriatric care, chronic disease management, and comprehensive care coordination within a diverse patient population. The setting also provides a gateway to exploring Hawaii’s natural wonders—from lush gardens and active volcanic landscapes to serene beaches and cultural events that celebrate aloha.
For nurses who enjoy variety, our travel program may include opportunities to serve in other U.S. locations as needs arise, broadening your clinical perspective while maintaining the consistent standards of support and safety you expect. Whether you’re refining wound care techniques, advancing dementia care plans, or leading interdisciplinary rounds, you’ll bring leadership, compassion, and clinical excellence to every shift, contributing to improvements in comfort, safety, and resident satisfaction.
In this LTC-focused role, you’ll own a range of responsibilities that emphasize skilled, holistic care. Core duties include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and updating individualized care plans, administering medications safely, monitoring vitals, and recognizing early signs of health changes. You’ll collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and family members to coordinate services, manage pain, implement restorative strategies, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
You’ll mentor and supervise nursing assistants and support staff, promote evidence-based practices, and advocate for residents’ rights and preferences. The position offers pathways for professional growth, with opportunities to pursue specialty certifications, advanced wound management, palliative care, delirium management, and dementia-focused practices. In addition, you’ll have access to ongoing education and elective clinical projects that sharpen leadership, research mindedness, and quality improvement skills.
Our benefits package is designed to reflect the value you bring: competitive weekly pay in the range of $514 to $554, a sign-on bonus to recognize your experience, housing assistance to ease the transition, and clear extension opportunities that let you continue to grow with the team if you choose to stay.
You’ll be supported through every step of your assignment with 24/7 assistance from our dedicated travel team, ready to help with housing, logistics, or clinical questions as you move between shifts or locations. The combination of rigorous clinical practice and a welcoming, supportive environment makes this role a strong platform for advancing your career in long-term care.
