- Travelers without an active Hawaii (HI) State RN License must apply upon acceptance of the offer.
- Active Hawaii RN License is required by the start date of the assignment.
- Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical or religious exemption is required prior to the contract start date.
- Flu vaccination may be administered during the employee health clearance appointment.
- Provide care to patients pre-operatively, Phase I, and Phase II recovery.
- PACU nurses care for patients immediately following surgery and must demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and Phase I recovery care.
- Assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and track patient stability or potential complications.
- Apply strong critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced post-anesthesia environment.
- Prior experience in critical care and surgical nursing is highly preferred.

- Bair PAWS Warmers
- HP Monitors
- Philips Monitors
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Critical Care RN (ER or ICU experience may be accepted in place of PACU experience)
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- PALS (AHA) is recommended and may be required for certain assignments
- Additional certifications preferred and may be required, such as:
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- Shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours
- Schedule may include Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays
- Assignments may rotate between ASU and PACU units
- No guarantee of hours or shift preference
- On-call requirements:
- 0–3 on-call shifts per month
- 8-hour night call
- 24-hour weekend/holiday call
