Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Varied Shifts Job Type- Contract

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-acuity patient care in a critical care setting . The ideal candidate will have strong intensive care experience, clinical expertise, and flexibility to work variable shifts based on staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients
- Monitor patient conditions, interpret vital signs, and respond to changes promptly
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per physician orders
- Perform and assist with critical care procedures
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Float to other critical care or step-down units as needed
- Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience
- Active Hawaii RN License
- Candidates without an active license must apply upon offer acceptance and must have the license by assignment start
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Certification must be submitted or completed via a brief online course during orientation
- Must be flexible to work day or night shifts , determined per roster period
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours) following orientation
- On-call requirement: 2 x 12-hour call shifts per 4-week roster period
- ICU Unit Size: 11 beds
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 2:1
- Floating:
May float to other critical care or step-down units as needed
- Orientation: Up to 1 week (up to 40 hours)
- Dress Code: Professional scrubs
- Holiday coverage required
- Must be available to arrive prior to assignment start for pre-employment health and onboarding requirements
