Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a HI license for a Med/Surg Flex Pool position with day shift requirements and unit floating.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital setting providing care across various medical and surgical units
- Patient types include adult med/surg and step down
- Scheduled for 12-hour day shifts from 0645 to 1915, totaling 36 hours per week after orientation
- Nurse to patient ratios vary:
Medical unit 1:6, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4 - Floating required between Medical, Laulima (surgical acute), and occasionally Cardiovascular Units
- Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
- RNs must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to their first shift
- Orientation provided for each assigned unit
- Documented proof of immunity is required—no exemptions accepted
- Professional nursing attire with clean scrubs is required
- Ratios may fluctuate due to staffing needs
- Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC preferred
- Ability to float between multiple med/surg and step down units
