** Join Our Dynamic PACU Team!** - Are you an experienced RN looking for an exciting opportunity in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)? - Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy patient care after surgery?** General
Job Duties:
** - Provide exceptional care for patients in pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of anesthesiology to monitor and support patients post-surgery.
- Conduct assessments of incision sites, monitor body temperatures, and track stability indicators to prevent complications.
** Key Equipment You Will Use:** - Meditech - PCA Pumps - Pyxis - Braun IV Pumps - Cryocuff - SCD's - Bair PAWS Warmers - HP Monitors - Phillips Monitors
** Required
Skills and Experience:
** - 2+ years of experience as a critical care RN (ER & ICU experience may substitute for PACU experience).
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Active professional license within the state of practice.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential from the American Heart Association is recommended (may be required for specific positions).
- Other specialty-related certifications preferred (e.g., NIHSS, TNCC).
** Shift Information:** - Variable shifts available (8, 10, or 12 hours).
- Shifts may include Days, Evenings, Nights, and Weekends/Holidays, varying between units.
- On-call shifts required up to 3 times per month (8-hour night and 24-hour weekends/holidays).
- No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
