Working here means you’ll experience a unique blend of island hospitality and professional opportunity. You’ll treat a diverse patient population drawn from coastal communities, rural clinics, and visitor centers, gaining exposure to a broad spectrum of cases.

The role also keeps one foot on the mainland by offering opportunities to work in multiple U.S. locations, allowing you to broaden clinical horizons, adjust quickly to different care settings, and return with renewed energy and perspective. You’ll benefit from the safety, community connections, and the unparalleled outdoor lifestyle that Hawaii affords, all while maintaining a competitive pay structure. In addition, you’ll have access to mentorship and local professional networks that enrich your practice and foster lasting connections within the healthcare community.

Role

Specifics and Benefits

As a Physical Therapist on this contract, you will assess, diagnose, and design individualized rehabilitation programs, focusing on functional mobility, strength, balance, and safe gait training. You’ll implement therapeutic techniques, manual therapy, neuromuscular re‑education, and patient education to empower independence, conduct timely evaluations, set measurable goals, document progress, and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure seamless discharge planning.

You’ll have the chance to mentor or be mentored by colleagues, pursue continuing education opportunities, and expand your clinical repertoire across settings.

The package includes recognition for your contributions, with a competitive weekly pay rate of $2,122–$2,206, reflecting your experience and the intensity of the caseload. In addition, you’ll be eligible for a signing or completion bonus, a housing assistance option to ease relocation, and potential extension opportunities so you can continue to grow with the team if you and the assignment align.

The program emphasizes comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance for traveling clinicians and a dedicated support team ready to assist with logistics, credentialing, and clinical questions. You will be supported by a robust infrastructure that helps you stay focused on patient care while away from home. Expect collaborative case reviews, access to state‑of‑the‑art equipment, and a culture that encourages innovative problem‑solving to meet diverse patient needs.
