Salary: $101,088 ($8,424 per month, includes a $1,198 monthly shortage differential), SR-22, Step M, BU:13

Employees in certain Imaging Specialist positions shall earn incentives based on the successful completion of the following years of service:
- 1 year of satisfactory service: $2,000 bonus
- 2 years of satisfactory service: $3,000 bonus
- ($5,000 is the maximum bonus that any employee may receive over the life of this agreement)
13 paid holidays each year (14 during election years)
21 paid vacation days per year
21 paid sick days per year

Job Duties:
Nuclear Medicine positions work in the Imaging Department of a hospital and are responsible for performing technical nuclear medicine procedures as an adjunct to diagnosis and/or treatment of patients.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an approved program recognized by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
Equivalent work experience, which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities comparable to four (4) years of college or university study leading to a bachelor’s degree, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. The experience must demonstrate a scope, level, and quality that assures the possession of comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Imaging
Experience:
At least 1½ years of progressively responsible professional imaging technologist/specialist experience, demonstrating thorough knowledge of imaging procedures and techniques such as myelograms, discograms, arthrograms, etc., including X-raying areas like the chest, skull, gastrointestinal, urinary, and vascular systems.
Specialized
Experience:
Responsible professional work experience in modalities such as angiography, cardiac catheterization, computed tomography, echocardiography, mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, ultrasound, or vascular imaging in a clinical or hospital setting.
Certification: Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT). BLS certification is required within six (6) months of employment; current BLS Healthcare Provider certification (adult, child, infant) is preferred. Licensure: Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a radiographer.
Substitution of Experience for
Education:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with a certificate or associate degree plus two (2) years of professional radiologic experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree. Excess experience in imaging or specialized modalities can be substituted on a year-for-year basis, provided the experience demonstrates comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Excess work experience in specialized modalities may be substituted for imaging experience on a year-for-year basis.
Work Schedule: Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary based on hospital operations.
Medical/Physical Examination: Employment contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug screening and regulatory medical requirements such as a two-step TB test. The applicant bears the cost of physical exams, except for drug screening.
COVID-19 Vaccination: Mandatory as a condition of employment per Hawaii Health Systems Corporation policy.
