Job SummaryTeach graduate courses related to the field of sustainability. Plan and supervise semester activities including syllabus creation and semester calendar planning; oversee class instruction and meeting course objectives; maintain records on and evaluate student performance; assign grades at midterm and final grade submission due dates.
Compensation: $1,050 per credit - Masters; $1,150 per credit - Doctorate

- Master's degree in systems thinking or other fields related to sustainability.

- Doctorate degree in systems thinking or other fields related to sustainability.
- Experience teaching university students in a diverse environment.

Qualifications:
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance are not available for this position.
- May require work during Hawaii Pacific University's winter break to support the department.
- Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy.
- Able to teach classes scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends.
- Able to teach classes at multiple locations on Oahu.
- Ability to work in an environment that requires excellent time and stress management skills.
- Course preparation (20%):
Develop a course syllabus available to students two weeks prior to the start of the semester. - Prepare course website using Blackboard.
- Course maintenance and delivery (30%):
Update course website weekly and post assignments in a timely manner. Prepare and deliver weekly lesson plans. - Student communication and assistance (25%):
Respond to student inquiries within 48 hours. Provide appropriate feedback and guidance. - Student assessment and grading (25%):
Return student assignments in a timely manner. Submit grades by required midterm and final due dates. - Performs other related duties as appropriate (5%):
Actively participate as a team member and accept additional duties as assigned.
