Senior Tax Specialist Job Description

A full-time opportunity is for a candidate looking to continue advancing their career in a public accounting firm.

• Prepare and/or review complex income tax, estate tax, and informational returns.
• Assume full responsibility for accounting engagements for the preparation of tax returns.
• Tax forecasting.
• Tax research.
• Recognize client problems and develop solutions.
• Recognize possible problem areas of an engagement and assist in developing solutions.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate staff members assigned to engagements.
• Understanding of the Firm’s practices, policies, procedures, and culture.

• Certified Public Accountant, or Enrolled Agent with public accounting experience.
• 5+ years of experience preparing and/or reviewing complex corporate, partnership, not-for-profit, fiduciary, and individual tax returns.
• Ability to develop and maintain clients.
• High level of intelligence, integrity, honesty, motivation, and aptitude for the profession.
• Must maintain strict client confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time.

Salary: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year.*
