Specialty Sales (Style, Tech, Beauty) (T2490)  Starting Hourly Rate is $17.25 USD per hour. The Pay Range is $17.25 - $25.90 per hour.

A Style Consultant is passionate about strong operations and providing an incredible guest experience, bringing the energy of style to life with compelling in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery.

Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room, ensuring the floor is set full with the right product, accurately priced and signed on the salesfloor with the right sizes, styles, and colors.

The role of a Style Consultant provides skills and experiences in areas including guest service fundamentals, retail business fundamentals, industry trends, and floor set and merchandising practices.

• Drive sales and deliver a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, signage, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings to assist guests as needed.
• Use store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and to support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom according to business needs.
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Maintain backroom organization, including locating merchandise to support replenishment and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price change processes via clearance merchandising and signing execution.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by returning merchandise from the fitting room and guest service to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive-up, while complying with safety and legal requirements (including adult beverage laws where applicable).
• Greet guests as daily tasks are completed; engage with guests to solve their needs; thank guests for shopping Target.

Skills to have from the start include a strong interest in apparel, a welcoming attitude toward guests and team members, ability to use handheld scanners and other technology, effective communication, and the ability to work independently or with a team and resolve guest questions quickly.

• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.

Basics We Expect include handling cash register operations as needed; ability to climb ladders; safe handling and movement of merchandise up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally; flexible schedule and reliable attendance; ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions; and sustained mobility during shifts.
