• Process universal joints and drive shafts with tight‑tolerance CNC surface grinding and honing.
• Translate blueprints, specs, and GD&T into efficient setups and repeatable processes.
• Set zero/reference points; dial in registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
• Load and prove part programs; run first‑article/sample pieces to validate settings.
• Execute in‑process measurements; follow documented QA procedures and international standards.
• Maintain safe operations; perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot per OEM guidance.
• Complete accurate production and quality logs.

• Minimum 2 years of surface grinding experience.
• Proficiency with basic math, geometry, and trigonometry for setup calculations.
• Conceptual/problem‑solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  
  Clear verbal communication; strong functional and technical skills.
• Experience with controls and instrumentation.

• Located 12 miles west of downtown Chicago

• First shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Also available: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (grinding department)
