eCommerce Performance & Optimization Manager
Position OverviewThe eCommerce Performance & Optimization Manager is responsible for driving overall commercial performance of the website, using experimentation, behavioral insights, and structured execution as key growth levers.
This role owns performance monitoring, prioritization of site improvements, QA oversight, and production issue management, while partnering closely with the Testing & Optimization Manager to execute a robust experimentation roadmap.
This position sits at the intersection of revenue, customer experience, and technical execution.
(Full Funnel CRO, Testing Enablement, Product to Tech Execution)
Key Responsibilities Commercial Performance Ownership- Monitor daily and weekly site performance, including revenue, conversion rate, AOV, and funnel metrics
- Identify performance gaps and prioritize initiatives that drive measurable revenue impact
- Partner with Merchandising and Marketing to align site experience with commercial objectives
- Translate business goals into clear site optimization priorities
- Collaborate with the Testing & Optimization Manager to develop and prioritize the experimentation roadmap
- Use behavioral insights, quantitative data, and customer journey analysis to inform high-impact test hypotheses
- Ensure experimentation aligns with broader revenue and promotional strategies
- Synthesize test results into actionable recommendations that influence site strategy
- Leverage GA4 to analyze user behavior, conversion funnels, and revenue drivers
- Utilize session recording and heat mapping tools (e.g., Content Square, Hotjar, Full Story) to uncover friction points and usability barriers
- Develop dashboards and reporting (Looker Studio a plus) to provide ongoing visibility into performance trends
- Present insights in clear, executive-ready formats
- Oversee QA of site updates, promotional launches, and feature releases
- Manage production issues, site bugs, and cross-functional resolution workflows
- Serve as a liaison between Optimization, Web Development, and Marketing teams to ensure timely execution
- Ensure site changes are implemented accurately and without revenue disruption
- Write clear, detailed business and functional requirements for site enhancements and optimization initiatives
- Coordinate timelines and priorities across Web Development and Marketing teams
- Maintain structured documentation and testing governance processes
- 5+ years in eCommerce, site management, CRO, or digital performance roles
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving measurable revenue growth
- Deep understanding of A/B testing methodologies and statistical analysis
- Strong proficiency in GA4
- Experience with session recording and heat mapping tools to guide optimization strategy
- Experience managing QA processes and resolving production issues
- Proven ability to work closely with Web Development teams
- Experience writing business and functional requirements
- Familiarity with Looker Studio and Power
BI preferred - Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Highly analytical with strong communication and presentation abilities
