We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of municipal, roadway, and paving projects. This role works closely with a Project Manager and multidisciplinary teams to help coordinate schedules, budgets, documentation, and client communications throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to grow their project management career.
Responsibilities- Support planning, coordination, and delivery of municipal and roadway projects
- Prepare and track project schedules, deliverables, and action items.
- Coordinate with design, survey, inspection teams, and subconsultants
- Participate in meetings and assist in preparation for meetings
- Assist with responding to client requests and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Support construction phase services (RFIs, submittals, pay applications, etc.)
- Monitor project progress against scope, schedule, and budget.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Promote safe work practices and professional conduct on all projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
- 2–5 years of experience supporting civil or public infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on municipal, roadway, paving, or transportation projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of civil engineering design and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management tools a plus
