Alternatives, Inc. in Hillsborough, NJ is hiring a full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a new behavioral group home. This program blends the compassion of human services with the science of behavior analysis.
Benefits and compensationWe pay $26.00/hr with a $4.00/hr weekend shift differential. We offer paid training, annual raises, mileage reimbursement, staff appreciation events, employee recognition awards, health and wellness fairs, and eligibility for a federal student loan forgiveness program.

As an RBT, you help adults with developmental disabilities live as independently as possible, ensuring their comfort and safety. In our residential group home you assist with activities of daily living such as administering medication, cooking meals, performing personal hygiene, and transportation to medical appointments. You assist in implementing individual behavioral plans, teach new skills, and help clients achieve goals. You encourage participation in community outings and recreational activities based on individual preferences and behavioral plans.
You report concerns about health and safety and maintain accurate documentation.
We operate 24-hour residential group homes, so shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Behavior Technician certification (RBT)
- Valid driver`s license with a good driving record
- Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen
- Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening
- Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training
- Basic computer skills
