Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Hillsborough, New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual skilled in data entry and invoice processing to contribute to the efficiency of our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high volumes of invoices and be proficient in utilizing accounting software.

Responsibilities:

- Process and enter a large volume of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.

- Assign appropriate codes to invoices and ensure proper categorization.

- Utilize Deltek Costpoint accounting software for data entry and invoice management.

- Verify invoice details to ensure compliance with company and vendor standards.

- Maintain organized records of processed invoices for auditing and reporting purposes.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices.

- Assist in the preparation of financial reports by supplying accurate data.

- Follow established accounting protocols to ensure consistency and reliability.

- Provide support during audits by retrieving required documentation.

- Contribute to process improvements within the accounting department. Requirements - Proven experience in processing and coding invoices.

- Proficiency in high-volume data entry tasks.

- Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint or similar accounting software.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
