Job Description
Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading building envelope solution supplier that effectively drives energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician in our Hillsboro, TX Plant.

Shift and pay
2nd Shift: 3 pm - 11:30 pm; will train on 1st (30 days expected). Starting Pay: $25.25, $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift.

Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment; execute capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility.

• Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance work.
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and detect problems.
• Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair.
• Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
• Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
• Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
• Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse to maintain machinery and work areas.
• Clean machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures.
• Knowledge of various hand and power tools.
• Prior experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.

• Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills.

• Education – High School diploma or GED required.
• One to two (1-2) years related maintenance experience.
• Previous experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler maintenance preferred.
• Mechanical background with rotating equipment; hydraulic and pneumatic; electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.

• Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient/outside temperatures, dust, pinch points, and increased noise levels.
• Exposure to hazardous mechanical, electrical and chemical substances/equipment.
• Hours worked: 8-10 hours per shift, varies by shift schedule and business volume.
• Flexible to overtime and weekend hours when required.
• Confined work spaces.

• No travel is required for this position. Potential training opportunities may require travel, but with advanced notice.

• Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor.
• EH certified safety shoes (steel toe or composite) over the ankle.
