Forklift Driver

Time Type: Full Time

The Warehouse Associate operates a forklift and other material handling equipment to ship, receive, and pick goods. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, scanning, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking products; counting and inspecting items; reporting damages or discrepancies; and ensuring the safe, efficient operation of all equipment. Associates are expected to meet company objectives for performance, safety, and quality and to comply with all corporate and site‑specific policies.

• Use a gas or electric powered forklift to load outbound shipments, move product, and stack items or materials efficiently and accurately according to doors and trailers as defined by Standard Operating Procedures.

• Use a gas or electric powered forklift to unload inbound shipments, move product, replenish, stack, and store items in the correct storage areas, following SOPs.

• Use a gas or electric powered forklift to pick orders accurately, stage them, and handle packaging tasks (pack, band, shrink wrap, label) according to client requirements, as per SOPs.

• Verify that products and orders meet quality standards, report damages or discrepancies, and ensure correct documentation. Perform packaging, shrink wrapping, and labeling activities.

• Execute all safety protocols, maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, assist with warehouse security, and comply with Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site‑specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS standards.

• Operate sit‑down, stand‑up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, Aisle Master, or pallet jack as required.
• Maintain equipment, report problems, inspect and perform minor maintenance daily, and operate safely following prescribed work methods.
• Maintain an active forklift certification.

• Assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of experience working in logistics/distribution or a related environment.
• Experience operating material handling equipment.

• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.

• Basic computer skills.

• Basic proficiency with RF scanners.
• Knowledge of WMS functions.

• English (reading, writing, verbal).

• Basic to intermediate level for verifying product quantities, inventory counts, and other related tasks.
