Job SummaryThe Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for all duties of the position, including the transporting of freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site in a safe manner. This individual will make normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled. We are seeking a candidate with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and great customer service skills.

Responsibilities- Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
- Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
- Clean and wash vehicle, including removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixer
- Be willing to work according to customer demands
- Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including company policies, state, and federal regulations
- Report all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
- Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management
High School Diploma/GED
Requirements / Qualifications- Must have current Commercial Class A or B driver’s license with airbrakes and tank endorsement
- Safe driving record – no serious moving violations within the past 36 months; no more than two moving violations within the past 24 months
- Must have a current Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Certificate
- Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions
- Must have familiarity with slumps
- Good attendance and punctuality – a must
- Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather
- Physical ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gears
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including company policies, state, and federal regulations
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours; overtime work, weekends, and nights may be required
- Experience in ready‑mix or heavy construction industries
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience
Successful candidates must submit to post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
