Under limited supervision, performs microbiological testing of food products.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Analyzes microbes of finished products and intermediates.
  • Tests finished products to meet food and safety standard.
  • Analyzes microbes of environmental swabs and interprets tests results.
  • Confers with R&D and Quality Assurance to improve the food production process.
  • Prints and distributes testing results.
  • Administers current and validated testing methods.
  • Maintains an inventory of laboratory supplies for the microbiology laboratory.
Job Specifications
  • Requires 2 years experience in a microbiology laboratory.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field is required.
  • Requires knowledge of micro-testing procedures.
  • Strong PC skills are required.
Working Conditions
  • Laboratory and Office Environment.
  • Possible exposure to microbiological pathogens.
