• Check each resident routinely to ensure personal care needs are met according to their wishes.
• Review patient care plans daily to determine if changes have been made.
• Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in the resident's condition for appropriate documentation.
• Assist residents with daily needs, including activity preparation, social programs, and transportation to appointments.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and calm.
• Ensure residents' rooms are ready and help them feel comfortable upon arrival.
• Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Effectively communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and/or administrator.

• Have a 10th grade education or above.
• Be a licensed certified nursing assistant in the state of Oregon.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Have a passion for caregiving and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
• Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Must have an active CPR/BLS certification.

Avamere is seeking caring and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. This position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement with the SEIU 503.
