- Check each resident routinely to ensure personal care needs are met according to their wishes.
- Review patient care plans daily to determine if changes have been made.
- Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in the resident's condition for appropriate documentation.
- Assist residents with daily needs, including activity preparation, social programs, and transportation to appointments.
- Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and calm.
- Ensure residents' rooms are ready and help them feel comfortable upon arrival.
- Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Effectively communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and/or administrator.
- Have a 10th grade education or above.
- Be a licensed certified nursing assistant in the state of Oregon.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Have a passion for caregiving and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
- Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Must have an active CPR/BLS certification.
Avamere is seeking caring and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. This position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement with the SEIU 503.
